Connie Hirsh, MD

Connie K. Hirsh, M.D. is a board-certified psychiatrist who has been practicing psychiatry since 1988. She treats patients age 21 and over, and has special interests in the psychopharmacology of mood, anxiety, and adult attention deficit disorders. Before moving to Columbus in 2004, she worked as a psychiatrist in Muncie, Indiana and Detroit, Michigan. Past professional work includes private practice, community mental health, inpatient, consultation/liaison and emergency psychiatry. At Henry Ford Hospital she was the Director of Emergency Psychiatry, and taught psychopharmacology and interviewing skills to resident physicians.


Dr. Hirsh graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia with a B.A. in psychology. She received her M.D. from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. She completed her internship at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center, and her psychiatry residency at the medical center’s Zucker Hillside Hospital where she was chief resident during her final year. Dr. Hirsh is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the Ohio Psychiatric Physicians Association.


Dr. Hirsh was born and raised in Long Branch, N.J. She is married to David K. Hirsh, M.D. and has 3 adult children. In her spare time, she is active in her synagogue, serving on the board of trustees and singing with the choir and the synagogue band.
