Lori Baker, LISW

Lori Baker, LISW, is a Licensed Independent Social Worker who received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from The Ohio State University in 1992. She has over 23 years of experience in a variety of settings. Lori worked in community mental health for six years where she specialized in providing home-based therapy and intensive therapy to children in therapeutic foster care. She was a part-time Social Work instructor at Ohio University on regional campuses from 1999-2002. Lori has been in private practice since 1996 and provides cognitive-behavioral and family therapy work with children, adolescents, adults, and their families.

Lori provides counseling services to clients who are struggling to cope with problems ranging from mild anxiety and depression to trauma, specific crises and severe mental illness. She specializes in clients dealing with depression, anxiety, ADHD, anger management, grief and adoption issues, and physical and sexual abuse. She believes that involving families in their children’s treatment is the best way to impact lasting and positive change. Lori feels privileged to support clients as they navigate their ways to positive growth and healing.

She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
