Steven Schneir, MD


Steven Schneir, M.D. was born and raised in Akron, Ohio. He received his undergraduate degree at Miami University (Ohio) in Zoology. Dr. Schneir received his medical degree at The Ohio State University and completed his residency and chief residency there. He was in private practice at Mt. Carmel Health and was Chairman of Psychiatry as well as Medical Director. His practice merged with Harding Hospital where he served as President of the Medical Staff. Following the merger with Ohio State, he remained on staff before returning to private practice. Dr. Schneir continues to be an Adjunct faculty at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.

Dr. Schneir currently sees adult outpatients in general psychiatry with special interest in mood disorders. He is board certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a distinguished fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.

Dr. Schneir and his wife have three adult children and live in Gahanna.
